Success for Giffnock North on the West Highland Way &  at the Cape Wrath Ultra.

Saturday 18th June.

1st Ladies team in the Mid Summer West Highland Way Relay, Tyndrum to Fort William.

Senior men were 6th overall team.

Ladies team – Yvonne McNairn (17.5 miles from Tyndrum to Glencoe), Jill Smylie (10.5 miles from Glencoe to Kinlochleven) and Mary McCutcheon(14.5 miles from Kinlochleven to Fort William)

Men’s team  with the Ladies

 Stuart Macdonald,(17.5 miles from Tyndrum to Glencoe)Keir Geatrell(10.5 miles from Glencoe to Kinlochleven)and Jan Bienkowski.(14.5 miles from Kinlochleven to Fort William)

On the same day, Kevin Cameron completed the full 96 miles of the West Highland Way race in less than 24 hours.

Also, Stuart Macdonald finished 7th in an international field in the Cape Wrath Ultra.22nd-29th May, he finished 1st Scot in Scotland’s inaugural expedition race, The Cape Wrath Ultra. 250 miles/400 Kms over 8 days of bogs, trails n tracks, it took him 55 hours.
