The sun shone and the stadium was in great  order for our Club Championships at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena in Kilmarnock It was a great day and we need to thank many people for their contribution to that .

First of all 
Thanks to all the athletes who came , competed , performed gave their all & achieved . To all the parents and supporters for all the  amazing & generous donations to the raffle , tombola and the great Home baking. to Alison Watson & Caroline Hunter who took that task on again . To all the coaches who gave up their time to assist at the championships -hoping to see the fruits of their input – as athletes performed-  but mostly too busy helping at events to see the races & events properly. To all the parent helpers who raked, measured, retrieved , recorded ,assembled at all the events. To the results team Elaine Paul, Kathleen Nolan and Kate Paul who along with Graham Dunn’s huge input as ever produced the results on the day and now the final results duly scrutinised . To Lynsey Church &Caroline Cameron  for a great job organising all the catering and to Laura Swan Fiona Dorrian & Humera Ashraf for the lovely food for the officials( have to look after them well)  – some was available for spectators too . To the 4 Photographers- no complaints about that fantastic coverage .Thanks to Allan Cameron, Alan Stewart, Colin Mearns & Jordan Orr. To the excellent hardworking, obliging and encouraging officials who ensured  the athletes had the best experience. Some had travelled far to grace our club championships and we are very lucky to have them every year .Mike & Lynne Belch, Christine Stoops ……..you are all legends . To Jason Pender’s Photo finish Team with Alyson & Craig Fotheringham who were  ace-  using our newly acquired shared PF equipment ( Shettleston IAC , Kilbarchan & GNAC – it cost a fortune)  To Dudley Walker in his familiar and very much appreciated Announcer spot. To Anne Stewart a special mention as she had the onerous compiling of a Timetable across all age groups and events and assembled the officials with whom we could not survive as a sport. On the day, we were able to hand out quite a number of AAA Certificates reflecting the high standards achieved by our athletes These  were presented by Erin Wallace & Murray Fotheringham . Erin & Murray very kindly gave up their time reminding us all of the excellent role models that they are – while young athletes queued up to have photos taken with them . Thanks again Erin & Murray. It takes this kind of combined effort to stage the Club Championships. If you enjoyed the day – an appeal .
