David took the time to give us his thoughts on his superb selection for Team Scotland for the Gold Coast 2018
“I’m delighted to be selected for Scotland to compete in my 2nd Commonwealth Games.
The last few years have been tough due to injuries so it was a big relief to get the required standards and secure selection this year.
My expectations for the games are to firstly turn up fit and healthy. My main aim is to get to the final. Once there anything can happen.
I recently made a coaching change. Working with Paul Harrison and my previous coach Ken Allan who are collaborating together between Birmingham and Glasgow.

The best wishes from Giffnock go with David as he continues with his training and preparations in the lead up to Australia. His commitment, dedication and strength in overcoming the challenge of injuries is
