In Finland this week , the land of the midnight sun, Giffnock North’s Erin Wallace produced a bright and welcome return to racing after a long lay-off with injury, posting four minutes 16.75 seconds for sixth in a high-class 1500 race. The event in the city of Turku was part of the meet dedicated to Finnish distance legend Paavo Nurmi, who revolutionised the sport in the early 20th century. Great footsteps to follow in, Erin, well done and brilliant to see you back on track and racing strongly again.
