Festive News

Calum, Joseph , Michael, Orla, Louise and Andrew

At the GAA Glasgow Under 12s competition we had 35 of our young athletes competing and enjoying themselves  at the Emirates.    All of this possible with the fantastic help from our young athletes pictured above who led and supported the even younger athletes from many different clubs around their events.   Calum Alexander, Michael & Joseph Lowrie,  Orla Lang , Louise Paterson and Andrew Love. Total stars. Meanwhile Eoghan O’Donnell and Murray Fotheringham, before competing in the afternoon Open Graded Event , did a grand job assisting with the Results. Thanks to all for assisting the  club and the GAA with the smooth running of the event.

In the OG many PBs reached and SBs for others

Also on the 27th while some of us inside in  the Emirates Arena, a  huge contingent of  Giffnock athletes were taking part in the GAA endurance session at Pollok Park

Meanwhile the day before Luke  Traynor was winning the Ayr Turkey Trot 10k in a course record despite the wildest and windiest conditions known to  man [and Dudley] courtesy of Storm Conor.. Well done all the Park runners too. Hope to see some of you at the Junior Xmas  Handicap on the 30th at Rouken Glen at 9.30am

Best wishes from the Club for a Happy 2017 to all athletes , coaches , officials, parents and supporters. For our athletes best wishes for a great  Indoor Season , SAIL,  and championship events, Scottish National XC and then the Outdoor season.
