Scottish Schools Success

 Giffnock North Athletes excelling at the Scottish Schools Athletics Association Indoor T&F Championships held at the Emirates on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

We would like to acknowledge the efforts of all our Club Athletes in gaining the entry standards for the Championships and then toeing the start line, achieving PBs with some participating for the first time at a major Championship event. The highlights over the 2 days included an Age Group Scottish Record  for Angus Weir as well as the 5 Gold ,1 Silver, and 2 Bronze Medals.
Well done all our record holders , medallists ,finalists & PB achievers.

We had made a mistake in our earlier post that Rory achieved an U15 Boys Indoor 300m Record. In fact, Rory took that record at the National Open with a time of 37.54. Congratulations to Rory for that record and another impressive performance !
