Following the initial announcement of the trip to the Gothenburg Youth Games in Sweden in 2019. The Standards required for each event are now available.
Please note, javelin, discus and hammer standards are set by the organisers and detailed on the pdf link.
We expect all athletes to compete in at least two events in Gothenburg and should achieve, or be close to standard in any two events on this list.

The standards should be achieved from 1 January 2018 and the last event to be taken into consideration will be the club championships on 23 September – so make sure you get your entry in on time!!
We will be expecting athletes to achieve (or be very close) to the published time/distance/height in two of the events listed. These may not necessarily be the events they would compete in at the games due to differences in specifications in Sweden.
U13 athletes – if you are unsure if you are eligible to attend (you must be in your second competitive year as an U13 this season), please check with your coach.
Again we would remind all athletes that achieving two standards is not a guarantee of selection and even if you don’t quite get both, we will be looking at commitment, attendance at training and turning out to compete for the club.
If you have any questions at all, please email Jackie Alexander.
The initial letter and the standards can now be found on the Gothenburg 2019 page which can also be access from the main website menu.
