Eve Greene also wearing a winning Giffnock vest , worn by her older sister Amy who was in a winning SUPERteam from 2016 and Erin McKay also sporting a winning vest from 2013 when her sister was in the winning girls SUPERteam. It’s great to see so many young athletes who came along as spectators now participating in athletics themselves.

Clare Stevenson added ,”It’s such a pleasure having all these young athletes participating today. It’s a great introduction to these events and hopefully sets them up to stick in at athletics”

Thanks Judith, [Mum to Murray Ross] for the report and also to her and Grace Greene for the old Photos sourced from mobile phones of previous podium places which they were able to produce on the day!

Many thanks to Scottish Athletics and all the officials and Announcer Connor Henderson who kept the youngsters going with am impromptu DJ set and much dancing during the inevitable long wait for the results. It takes so many to run this event including our own Doleen Galbraith yet again putting these youngsters under starters orders.
We can have no complaints about a small delay for the locals when considering the long journey of all the Teams from far afield , the Hebrides ,from North and South Uist & Eriskay to the Super Teams .Link to the full results below.
