The Awards Night for the youngest athletes in the club was held on Sunday 10th of December at GHA
We had the privilege of David Smith our brilliant High Jumper doing the honours on the night. David is now back training hard after 2 surgeries this year . We wish him all the best for 2024
Certificates for performance on the track and over Cross Country were presented and also Medals for the Club Championships held in August.
Finally the awards for U11 Athletes of the Year were presented to Darcey Waddell and Christopher Cameron
This is always a difficult category for us to decide as we have so many talented athletes at the club and many developing all the time as they go up the Age Groups , but Darcey and Christopher were worthy winners for this season. They should have a look at the previous recipients of the U11 awards on the shields.,
We also took the time to say thanks to a large number of our volunteers who assisted at the Summer Camps and always make a substantial contribution to the success of the Holiday Athletic camps.
We think everyone there seemed to enjoy themselves on the dance floor The pizza was devoured ,the great prizes of Bobble Hats from Migos went down well and, all in all, it was a good start to the holiday festivities.
