***UPDATED*** West of Scotland District Track & Field Champs Report

U15 1500m

(This report has been updated to include additional podium pictures )

Well done to all the Giffnock North athletes who competed in the (surprisingly) warm and sunny West of Scotland Track & Field Championships at Kilmarnock on 10th and 11th of May. Whether you medalled, made a final, set a PB or took the time and effort to compete in your heat we are proud of you all.

With so many medallists it is difficult to highlight each and every performance. However special commendation goes to

  • The athletes who each stepped onto the podium three times: Charlie Murray U15B (200m gold, LJ silver, 100m bronze) and Andrew Mitchell U13B (LJ gold, 100m bronze, 200m bronze)
  • The U17B 1500m team – Calum Dick, Aaron Reid and Louie Muir – for their clean sweep of the medals.

Our medallist role of honour is below, with the full results of all heats, semis and finals available via this link: https://results.scottishathletics.org.uk/West/. You will also find a selection of medallist photos below.

Thank you to all our coaches for preparing the athletes and to our officials who were instrumental in running the event.
