Further too our recent review, below some of the successes of our Masters athletes.
Allie Chong competed in the European Masters Championships at the half marathon. In her first GB Masters vest she brought home individual bronze medal in the v50 category and joined with two other team mates to secure team Gold in the v35 age group.
Several Giffnock North athletes were selected to run for Scotland at the Masters International Cross Country; Yvonne McNairn, Allie Chong, Sheila Lewis, Mary McCutcheon and Doreen Henderson.
Jill Smylie, Yvonne McNairn and Allie Chong are 2023 Scottish Veteran Road Relay Champions.
Allie Chong, Jill Smylie and Catriona Bark won Masters Silver medal at the West District XC and a Gold for the Masters team at the National relays in Cumbernauld consisted of Sheila Lewis, Allie Chong and Mary McCutcheon.
Yvonne McNairn is currently the V35 Champion for the Scottish 10 mile road race.
And in the Ultra Running scene, Rory Matheson completed the UTMB which is no mean feat!
