PROFILE
I first started to get involved with coaching in 2020 and qualified in 2022.
I am mainly interested in the 400m but I’m always keen to support athletes who try out different events. I’ve personally tried a few doubles in my time including 400m-400m hurdles and 400m-javelin.
I have been a member of the club since 1999 and have greatly enjoyed getting more involved in recent years. Coaching, therefore, felt like a natural progression, especially now that I’m getting a bit older.
The best thing about coaching is seeing athletes progress in their events and getting to know them as people.
My coaching highlight so far was managing the U20 men’s SAIL team in 2022–23 under the guidance of Anne Stewart.
