Giffnock North AC based in East Renfrewshire and the south side of Glasgow are one of the largest and most successful athletics clubs in Scotland with around 700 junior and 200 senior athlete members, supported by a volunteer workforce of over 100. Giffnock North AC, a charity, are developing an exciting new vision and strategy to drive the club forward

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for co-ordinating athletics activities and coaching. You are someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, are well organised, can think creatively to overcome challenges, and is committed to inspiring young people to develop. You will have experience of coaching/activity leadership ideally in an athletics environment or within sport/physical activity.

About the Role

This new role presents a unique partnership between Giffnock North AC, Enjoy East Ren (Local Authority Culture & Leisure Trust) and scottishathletics which will seek to ensure that children in all parts of East Renfrewshire have access high quality and inclusive athletics provision. The key focus of the post is to address significant under engagement in athletics in the two most deprived (SIMD) parts of the local authority and to ultimately see the membership of Giffnock North become more representative of its local communities.
