The U11/U13 Xmas Disco and Awards night was held in GHA on Friday 13th December. The Disco was outstanding and all credit goes to our regular DJ David Kerr who knows a thing or two about getting the party started! David kept the U11/13 athletes on the floor dancing and enjoying themselves after the exuberant gymnastics displays at the outset. The musical chairs definitely challenged the speedsters, there was a dancing competition and then congo lines to finish! 

Dudley Walker was our MC and did us proud as always. Thanks Dudley.

Dudley introduced two of our current great athletes to do the presentations and we were delighted to have Rachel Callan & Murray Fotheringham doing the honours this year. As with all our elite athletes they are incredible role models and an inspiration to the youngest generation – even listing their achievements takes a while.

Star Track Certificates were presented recognising performances at the Club Championships, Scottish Athletics Superteams events (both Regional Heats & National Final in which Giffnock North took the Winners Trophy 🏆) and SAIL (Scottish Athletics Indoor League).

Gold Silver & Bronze Medals from Club Championships were presented for each event category and overall Club Championship Medallists too

Well done all our athletes at U11& U13. We hope, inspired by Rachel & Murray’s achievements that you will all continue to train, develop, improve and succeed. And have fun in your athletics as well as the disco dancing !!
